Welcome to our website! The protection of your data and your privacy is very important to us. In the following, we would like to explain what data we process when and for what purpose, and on what legal basis. We want to describe to you how the services we offer work and how the protection of your personal data is assured at the same time.
Personal data, according to Art. 4 (1) GDPR, means all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A natural person is considered to be identifiable if he or she can be identified directly or indirectly. You can find more information about this, for example, in Art. 4 (1) 1 GDPR.
This Data Privacy Policy can be accessed at any time at www.sagamedia.de and be stored and printed out at any time.
To the extent that we cite our legitimate interest or the legitimate interest of a third party as the legal basis for the processing of personal data (Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR), you have a right to objectaccording to Art. 21 GDPR.
According to Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right
to object at any time to processing of personal data. We will then cease to process the personal data for the purposes of direct marketing or a related profiling.
We will also discontinue processing your personal data for other purposes, unless we can prove compelling reasons for the processing that qualify for protection and override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of filing, enforcing or defending against legal claims (cf. for example, Art. 21 (1) GDPR, so-called “restricted right to object“). For reasons arising from your specific situation, you may also object to the processing of your personal data, which is performed for scientific or historic research purposes or statistical purposes according to Art. 89 (1) GDPR, unless the processing is required for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest (cf. We will inform you separately once more of the right to object in the individual sections (e.g. by the note: ”You have a right to object”) where this right applies. You can also find more information there on how to exercise your right to object.
To keep the following Data Privacy Statement as clear as possible, we refer at various passages in the form of links to information and data protection information provided on external websites (cf. also the Section „Social networks & external links“ in this Data Privacy Statement). We try very hard to keep the links in this Data Privacy Statement up to date. Nonetheless, due to the constant updates of these websites, it cannot be ruled out that links might stop working properly. 4) Logfiles
When you access our website, we will automatically gather data and information about the system of your device and store these data in so-called logfiles. The data will be transferred automatically by the respective browser when our website is retrieved. The following information is covered by this:
- The date and time when our website was called up (query to the server of the hosting provider)
- URL of the website from which you have accessed our website
- The operating system you use

- Your IP address
The purpose of this processing is the accessibility of our website from your device and facilitating a correct display of our website on your device and by your browser, respectively. Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files, which are stored on your device, e.g. to make the use of a website more convenient or recognise the user’s device again and store settings or similar. Input and settings made on a website can be stored in cookies, so that you do not need to repeat or enter them again on each new visit to a website.
Our website uses merely the cookie „Has_js“. This cookie is a functional cookie, which is required for the functioning of the website. It serves for checking the status of Java Script in the user’s browser.

The purpose of processing the personal data within the scope of the required data and the voluntary information is to handle the contact request and be able to contact the person inquiring with the answer. The other personal data processed in the transmission (IP address, date and time of the transmission) help to prevent abuse of our contact form.
The legal basis for the processing of the personal data provided by you is your explicitly granted consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR.
The legal basis for the processing of the further personal data is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in being able to prove the consent granted by you. Moreover, we have a legitimate interest in preventing or proving abuse of our contact form.
The data will be processed meanwhile only for as long as this is required for providing the function.
The personal data additionally gathered during the sending of the contact form will be deleted at the latest after 90 days.

If we cannot offer the posted job to you, your personal data will be deleted at the latest six months after their receipt, unless you have given us your consent that we may store your personal data in our talent pool to be able to contact you later for new job offers if applicable.
The provision of the personal data is neither legally nor contractually mandated. You are likewise not obligated to provide the personal data. Non-provision, however, could have the consequence under certain conditions that you may not be able to review your job application to the full extent.
10) Casting
You have the possibility to apply as a cast member in a production when we publish a corresponding talent search on our website. You can call us or write us to the email address indicated on the website. You can call us or write us to the email address indicated on the website.

If we cannot offer a casting in the relevant production, your personal data will be deleted at the latest six months after their receipt, unless you have given us your consent that we may store your personal data in our casting pool to be able to contact you later for new TV projects if applicable.
The provision of the personal data is neither legally nor contractually mandated. You are likewise not obligated to provide the personal data. Non-provision, however, could have the consequence under certain conditions that you may not be able to review your inquiry to the full extent.
11) Casting database: Registration and login and logout process
You have the possibility to register in our casting database via our website.
The data you enter in the input fields in the course of the registration will be processed by us.
This includes the following data as required data:
- Title
- First and last names
- Email adress
- Street
- Postal code
- City
- Phone number
- Date of birth
In addition, you can add further data as voluntary information. This potentially concerns the following data:
- Age
- Nationality
- Resumé
- Photo
- Place of residence
- Language skills
- Occupation
- Hobbies
- Other skills
- Prior TV experience
We treat required data and voluntary information the same. The mandatory information is important to create a profile for you in our casting database.
These data are processed
- to be able to identify you as a candidate
- to be able to contact you if there is the opportunity for a casting in suitable productions
- for correspondence with you
The data processing takes place upon your enquiry and it is required pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR for the named purposes of the appropriate handling of your casting inquiry.
The processing of special categories of personal data revealing your racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, your age, and the processing of data concerning your resumé takes place on the basis of a consent given by you according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 9 GDPR).
The personal data you have provided to us will be processed until you request us to delete your data by sending an email to datenschutzbeauftragter@sagamedia.de. Your data will be deleted then, unless we are obligated for a longer storage pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. c) GDPR based on retention and documentation obligations under tax and commercial law (under the HGB [Commercial Code], StGB [Criminal Code] or the AO [Fiscal Code]).
At the time of the registration, furthermore, the following data is stored:

The legal basis for the processing of the further personal data is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in being able to prove the consent granted by you.
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties nor for any purpose other than the purposes listed below.

The information processed in the course of the transmission process will be stored only for as long as this is required or legally prescribed for the intended purpose.

The provision of the personal data is neither legally nor contractually mandated. You are likewise not obligated to provide the personal data. However, we are unable to make a profile in the casting database available to you without the necessary information. In addition, the review of a request for casting will not be possible if the data are not provided.
12) More information/casting calls
You have the possibility to register for receiving further casting calls by ticking a checkbox if you are interested.
If you sign up for this, we will process the following information (including personal data) of you:
- Email adress
- Date and time
- IP adress
The registration takes place in the so-called double-opt-in procedure.
After the registration, you will receive an activation link sent to the email address provided by the you, which you are asked to please confirm and activate, respectively. This way, we will ensure that the email address entered on our website is in fact yours. You will then have to repeat the registration process. If an email is not confirmed within the aforementioned period, the registration data will be deleted by us.
When you click the activation link, we will process the following data within the scope of the double opt-in:
- Email adress
- Date and time when the message is sent
- IP adress
If you do not click the activation link, we will not process any further data about you.
The purpose of the processing of the personal data is to send you casting calls at the given time on your request. The purpose of processing of the double opt-in is specifically to prevent the abuse of the registration. The purpose of the processing of the checkbox data is to be able to prove that you have taken notice of the information stated and required under the respective checkbox.
The legal basis for the processing described here is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in sending you further casting calls. Our interest in processing the double opt-in data is to prevent the abuse.

You have the right to revoke a once granted consent at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the legitimacy of the processing that has taken place up until the revocation.
